I remember reading that; it made me very sad T_T. It was beautiful, but I really, really wish it had ended on a slightly sweeter note... Now I'm getting all sad again...

But don't worry; it will almost certainly never happen. America doesn't seem all that interested in adding any states--hasn't done so in a while. Also, America's got a... lot of stuff to worry about. I don't think it will be absorbing any other countries any time soon.
