Well, that was the biggest pile of crap I've seen this year, if you'll pardon the superlative.
Honestly, I don't really know where to start. Which ticked me off more, the crappy animation, the half assed storyline, the completely rubbish cameos? There were a couple of cool fight scenes, and I can appreciate the effort that went into choreographing those, really, and I especially liked Sai's air battle, but honestly, the story depressed me in it's cookie-cutter obviousness. There was nothing even interesting about it. They tried to take a new angle on things as opposed to the fillers, where it was all "brotherhood/father-and-son bonds", and did "student-teacher relationships" instead, but all it did was creep me out in the end.
Approaching some dangerous lolicon there, Kishimoto-san.
I don't like Sasuke, I really don't, but what I hate more is filler characters, so when he chucked Amare? Amaru? Idk, whatever, when he chucked Dude-looks-like-a-lady onto the flying boat thing, I gave a little whoop.
Whole thing was like a fanfic though. "OHAY HERE'S THE NO TAIL'D BIJUU THAT LIVES ON THE PAIN THAT CRAWLS BENEATH YOUR SKIN THE WOUNDS THAT WILL NOT HEAL. IMMA TAKE OVER THE WORLD NOW KTHXBAI"
Possibly the worst part of it is the fact I waited three and a bit weeks for this thing to download, and it wasn't even worth it. I abstained from youtube for the sake of not getting spoiled. Too bad the plot was so similar to the fillers that if you've even watched one arc of them it's spoiled for you.
*sigh*
Idk, I need to go watch something with more of a story line. Like... Lain or something. Kuroshitsuji? Tsubasa?
I'm out.
