On the Korea's and their relationship: The divide between the two seems to get bigger and bigger as time goes on, from what I can recall of my history classes on the subject. But then again, my historical education in school was so pitiful that I didn't know where Poland was, just that Germany invaded it like a douche. Historical inaccuracies, I can has?
Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "hate". It's a little strong. More like South is extremely sad that his sister's ended up how she has, and that North is confused and angry that her brother won't see the light of communism and this has created so many misunderstandings that the two just have this rift of confusion and frustrated anger that neither will see it their way.
Also, I enjoy drama. This was suitably dramatic. I'm playing with future-history here. Maybe we can assume some more major conflicts have broken out between the two between 2010 and 2020? 10 years is a while.

We'll go with your idea about Alaska here, seeing as I wasn't going to give an abundance of information anyway. Lots of bombing big Alaskan cities wonder if he killed Sarah Palin? *shot* and invading, though he's only just begun and Canada's totally on his way.
