So it was the Celtic thing to do to take the head of an enemy once you defeated them in battle. These heads could then be used to either decorate the home, to act as guardian spirits, or as gifts. Apparently, this was pretty popular most places, pre-Rome. It's like the savage way of giving someone flowers.
