Um err...Malaysia and Singapore were one/married as Malaya Federation. It didn't work out because of differences in ideologies, Malaysia was at one point wary of giving singa more seats in the parliament, and they had a really messy divorce in 1965. Or at least that's what singa textbooks perspective is, and I agree with that. The separate policies for bumiputera and other races will irk coz singa's majority is non-bumiputera. but anywayyysssss again pls ignore my trivia...
