Family Ties [Part 64]
Title: Family Ties
Characters (in this chapter): Afghanistan, Greece, Turkey, Portugal, Ireland, Hungary, Austria.
Rating: 12
Warnings: Swearing, as usual, kind of bridge chapter (though every time I say that it seems not to be).
Summary: Uh, I need to be banned from the kink meme or monsters like this happen? Essentially, Scotland leaves the UK, which gives Northern Ireland an excuse to up and out as well, which leaves England and Wales all alone. Oh yeah, and this somehow leads to World War Three.
Afghanistan tried to control her shaking, mentally going through whether she should just shoot at the door and ask questions later, or how she was going to open the door when an AK-47 was a two handed gun, or who it could be in the first place. Then she attributed the first one to spending too much time around America, lowered her gun to her side, and opened the door just a crack.
"Oi, Hafa, was wonderin' where you'd been." said Turkey, folding his arms. Afghanistan slammed the door shut, but the other Nation's foot was already wedged between it. "Hey now, what's..."
"I don't think that's Hafa, Sadiq." said another voice, and Afghanistan took note of the two others standing with Turkey. She pulled open the door fully, blinking wide eyes.
"Portugal? Greece?" she squeaked, now completely confused.
"Human names, Adeeva, we're being watched." Portugal smiled, though his eyes darted left, to where NWO soldiers patrolled past the street. All three men had headscarfs on, though Greece didn't look at all happy about it. Portugal pulled at where it hung around his neck every now and then, giving it an odd look that Afghanistan couldn't place. Turkey was at home enough to barge straight past her and up the stairs, calling up the stairs.
"Hafa! Oi, get yer skinny ass down here!"
"It's a good thing Heracles knew where Hafa lived, Sadiq and I were quite lost." Gabriel shrugged. Adeeva looked over to Greece, who shrugged as well.
"I sensed... someone thinking." he mumbled quietly, before walking past the two others and up the stairs. "Though it may have been the abyss of stupid next to me that threw me off." he added, loud enough for Turkey to yell something unsavory in his own language at him.
"Adeeva!" Turkey yelled down the stairs. "Where's Hafa!"
"I've been trying to tell you she's not in!" Afghanistan cried, feeling close to tears. "I can't find her anywhere, and there's, there's blood..."
"Blood?" all three men echoed, Turkey and Greece disappearing back inside the room before a quiet "holy shit" was heard. Afghanistan couldn't help it, she started crying again, quiet sniffles. Portugal patted her on the shoulder.
"Come on, don't cry, I'm sure she's fine somewhere." he comforted, though his efforts were somewhat ruined when Turkey repeated "holy shit, all inside the closet?" and Greece folded his arms with a heavy, thoughtful frown.
"We came here to try and get her to sign the official documents to withdraw from the war as part of the newly formed Middle Eastern Peace Alliance." Portugal tried again to explain. "Once hostilities are over, the rest of the Middle East can join too. It's like the EU, only for... well, the Middle East."
Afghanistan sniffed, wiping at her eyes. "Peace?"
"And they'd be affiliated with the EU as well, so there will be no fighting between the two." the Iberian Nation stressed, glaring pointedly at where Greece and Turkey were having a nasty glaring match.
"Peace..." she repeated, revelation suddenly washing over her. "That's it! When Paki needed somewhere to go for some peace and quiet, she would always go to the Mosque! They wouldn't dare go in there to hurt her!" She grabbed Portugal's wrist, dashing out the door with him in tow. "Come on!"
Greece may have not-so-subtly tripped Turkey while they were coming back down the stairs behind them.

"So then we head north-east until we hit Warsaw, liberate the capital, and we should have easy sailing through the rest of Poland's territory." Hungary said, hair tied back into a high pony tail so it wouldn't whip in her face as the wind picked up. Even inside the officer's tent, it got under the cloth panels and blew the whole thing about. Only the metal pegs kept it from lifting off. She had to use on hand to lean on the map to keep it from flying off the fold out table. Marker ink stained her fingertips from where she'd been pointing, and Ireland's fingers were in a similar state.
"Is the terrain difficult?" she asked, hair similarly bound but escaping in strands, all together quite messy no matter how hard she tried to tame it. "I can see it gets flatter past the Vistula river and the Bug river, but it's not like I've exactly marched troops across Poland before." Hungary giggled a little and Ireland caught the accidental innuendo, snorting as well. "You know what I mean."
"Yes, I do, sorry." Hungary apologised, then noticed Austria coming in through the tent flap with refreshments. "Oh, thank you Austria."
Ireland pounced on the tea like she'd been deprived. "Ta muchly." she added. Austria righted his wind ruffled hair and pushed his glasses up his nose.
"Hungary, we seem to have gained soldiers." he said, looking quite irritable about the matter.
"Gained? But we lost twenty men when we hit a confrontation in Krakow..." Elizaveta tried to figure it out in her head, but her ex-husband provided an answer instead.
"There are about three hundred and fifty, all dressed as civilians or in otherwise outdated uniforms, carrying personal weapons." informed the dark haired Nation. "They were speaking Czech and Slovak, respectively."
Notes:
- Everyone who guessed Port, Greece or Turkey, give yourself an internet cookie! Or a real one! 8D
- Headscarfs bring up some memories for Port.
- A map of Poland with both mentioned rivers and cities on it.
- Stop adding Nations, Pidge, geez.

Peace does seem like a good idea, but I'm sure Russia begs to differ.
LOL at Hungary and Ireland appearently deciding everything and Austria bringing the refreshments. It's like he's a waiter or something!
More nations= more ways to make things interesting.
