Fecking mozzies.

Why is it 18 degrees AT NIGHT?!

I can hear mozzies buzzing around my room at a high pitched whine and I cannot sleep because I KNOW they will bite me. I'm oh so delicious like that.

Feck it, I'll just start compiling that archive "find Pidge's stuff more easily" thing that all the cool people have.

Mozzies.

Mozzies.

That's such an adorable name for a vile bloodsucker.

Can't be arsed to remember how to spell mosquito at 2am.

/gives up and goes to bed

Mozzies.

One of us. One of us. One of us

8D

Also gdit woman gimme your summer. It's like. 18 degrees in the day here. I'm so cold ;A;

[identity profile] hellzabeth.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 10:29 am (UTC)(link)
I think the slang works both ways, but I wouldn't mind being one of you guys <3

Though I shall once again reiterate that 18C is warm enough for me to sit at my computer in my underwear comfortably and wear my summer dresses outside.

[identity profile] meg-inatree.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 10:31 am (UTC)(link)
We're pretty fucking rad, I know. o3o

...sob. 26C is normal to me. Heat is like. 35. ;A; My feet are like iceblocks and I have both socks and stockings on. ;;

[identity profile] hellzabeth.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 10:38 am (UTC)(link)
26C is when the government issues warnings to cover up and stuff because we are not used to this thing called heat. This is a very hot summer for us. Usually we have what is called "an Indian summer". Basically it rains, but it's humid and warm. WE CAN DEAL WITH THAT ;A;

Stick your feet in some snow with only one pair of socks on plus wellies and you'll understand iceblock-feet.

It drops below 10 here and we cry. Well. Us south coasties do. We're used to rapid changing weather, and I guess a sort of monsoon summer. Hot hot hot days and then around 4pm it'll rain for 30 minutes to an hour. Thundestorm and lightening and so on and it is still hot and I will possibly bitch then but I still adore it.

...Are you crazy? I wouldn't even go near the snow if I was wearing everything suggested to be worn :|

[identity profile] hellzabeth.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 11:01 am (UTC)(link)
During winter the temperature here hovers around 5C at the highest. In the south, never mind the north. Because of the Atlantic drift (this water current that comes up from the equator and hits only Britain for reasons unfathomable) we still get warmer winters than the rest of Europe but we also get cooler summers. :| We're just very boring and mild. I'd love to see more thunderstorms...

I have a good mind to fly all you Aussies up here for the winter just so I can put you on an icy path and be amused as you flail.

[identity profile] meg-inatree.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 11:09 am (UTC)(link)
It... It was -1 in Canberra when I was last down. I wanted to cry. We were scrapping ice off the windscreen with our bankcards. And I was shaking from it. I honetstly don't know how Canberrians deal with it :/ Thunderstorms are gorgeous. I love having my blinds wide open and watching them.

...I can walk on ice yanno. Freezer at work's always iced over after all orz

/rp account

[identity profile] always-tea-time.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
Well if you were shaking why didn't you put on more layers, silly! *bundles you up* You'll damage your bank cards that way too, use an ice scraper. The weather's so mild here we don't get thunderstorms ever and it disappoints me. :(

But in a freezer you have shelves to hold on to. >] Besides which how cold a walk in freezer is cannot compare to wind chill. FUCKING WIND CHILL. Adds an extra -10 to everything.

Outta curiosity where do you rp these days? Saw you used to be an XIer

[identity profile] meg-inatree.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
Because we were late for the bus on both accounts. And I had stockings, legging, jeans, socks, a bra, singlet, long sleeved top under a tshirt and then a thick jacket. Gloves. Beanie. Scarf. Still cold ;A; This close to doing a Cool Runnings sob. Awwww. That sucks. Ya really missing out /petpet

Not when you're rushing in and out to grab product and get it out so you can go answer a car :/ I THINK I'LL BE FINE STAYING HERE, HERE IS NICE. SOB

Sorry, went for lunch. I'm mostly at a_facility now. XI was a very brief stint for me.

[identity profile] always-tea-time.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 12:18 pm (UTC)(link)
But what about a vest, a winter coat, stockings underneath socks? Make sure all clothes are baggy so as to warm up trapped air with body heat. \o/ Though I totally feel you with the late for the bus thing. Damn public transport.

Hahaha, I work in a convenience store so I spend a lot of time in the fridge moving stock about. Especially during ice cream season. COME OVER HEEEEEERE WHERE WE HAVE SUMMERRRRRRR

Is totes cool~ Ah, is it as good as I hear it is? And yeah, I figured, you were gone when I joined:<

[identity profile] meg-inatree.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)
A singlet is a vest from memory. Thick coat was the winter one. In winter I always wear stockings and socks. Still so cold. Ugh that wasn't fun at all ;; That and having to get up at 6:30 to get to it in time orz. Stupid public transport, why do you only work for the facists?

McDonald's girl so yeahhhh, every moment can be a rush. Or a dead time. NO, EVEN YOUR SUMMER IS COLD TO ME ;A;

I love a_facility. The muns are great and the plots are epic. I couldn't keep up with XI, too fast.

[identity profile] always-tea-time.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, and still cold? I mean, yeah you're meant to feel the chill but shaking when you're that wrapped up? Maybe you should have layered a little more. Got any woolies? Somehow the fascits have managed to work transportation. We must find out their secrets.

BUT BUT BUT THE WEATHER IS CLIMBING TO 24C TODAY IT'S WAAAAARM we could argue like this all day I think.

Sounds good them! Pfft yeah it can be at times, which sucks, but ah well. I can usually deal orz

[identity profile] meg-inatree.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe it's just cuz I'm a skinny bitch who hates anything under 20c :/ Some, not much though, it's not really that cold enough, generally, where I live. Canberra is closer to the snow than Wollongong after all. Perhaps it's by manipulating the masses?

WELL THEN 24C? THAT'S DECENT I SUPPOSE. 26C IS BEST THOUGH 8D And yes, yes we could. Because we clearly have nothing else to do >.>

Jooooooin usssssss~ there's only one app round per month but it's a lot of fun! <3

[identity profile] always-tea-time.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm in the second warmest part of the British Isles (London is always 1C warmer than the rest of Britain) and it still struggles to get above 20C most times. Yes, surely that must be it. Quick, alert the media!

YEAH BUT STILL CLOUD COVER AS USUAL HAHAH WHAT IS THIS THING YOU CALL SUNLIGHT. >> I have work in a few hours and errands to run before then... /procrastinates

Ahhhh maybe after final year exams? ;A;

[identity profile] meg-inatree.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
....you poor people. You have snow, it's barely over 20C and your beaches are filled with rocks. HOW DO YOU LIVE? Nnnn you do it, mines full of crazy people.

LOL IT'S SORTA LIKE SNOW. IN THE WHAT IS, I DO KNOW WHAT SNOW IS. Oh gee funs. Pfft yeah that was me this arvo.

Wow you still have exams to do? When're they?

[identity profile] hellzabeth.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I like snow. It's rare in the south; last winter was the deepest snow fall since the 70s. The rain is most common. l-lol yes rocky beaches. There are like 1 or 2 sandy ones down near Cornwall, but they get packed so quickly it's impossible.

IT'S AN URBAN MYTH. I KNOW IT EXISTS ON PRINCIPLE BUT. UH. I SEE NOTHING. It's only 2:30 here so I have time before work at 4-10pm.

Trials, which are practice for the big ones in September. Then actual exams in October ;;

[identity profile] meg-inatree.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
And yeah, we're still in the middle of the school year. Winter here after all.

I don't. It's cold, it gets me wet and then I get colder, and yeah. And it's not fluffy, like the movies. Disney lied. tbh, I would just give up in my beaches were made of rocks. Ow for your feet, even if sand gets everywhere :/

IT DOES EXIST, I CAN ASSURE YOU, AND IT IS WONDERFUL 8D Lol, of course, there's always time, but it's hard to get yourself to do things isn't it?

Australian education systems. Not nearly as baffling as American ones.

[identity profile] hellzabeth.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 01:48 pm (UTC)(link)
This kind of thing breaks my mind all the same.

I dunno, I find it pretty, and going out in it for little bits can be fun as long as you have your thermals on. 8D If you're on a rocky beach you just keep your shoes on. :| It's not like going in the water is particularly vital, brown sandy mess that the channel is.

MUST YOU RUB YOUR SUNSHINE IN MY FACE? ;A; I need to go post stuff that I've sold to people on ebay. orz

Try Singaporian. That confuses the fuck out of me.

[identity profile] parfumdelarose.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 01:57 pm (UTC)(link)
And from what I know, the system in Canberra is the most similar to the one in England with the whole highschool then collage then uni thing or whatever. YEAH WE KINDA HAVE LIKE A DIFFERENT SYSTEM IN EACH STATE WHOOPS.

Oh I'm okay with looking at it. From inside. With heater on full bore. Then it's nice. ..... WHAT IS THE POINT OF GOING TO YOUR SO CALLED BEACHES THEN?! Have you even ever built a proper sandcastle?

YES. RUBRUBRUB HERE HAVE A TAN 8D pffft, and I need to do that too, in the way of sending a prezzie to an american friend. Whoops. OTL

Japanese schools start the year in spring. Just. WHAT.

[identity profile] hellzabeth.livejournal.com 2010-07-27 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
WELL YOUR STATES COULD FIT ENGLAND INTO THEM LIKE 6 TIMES EACH SO IT'S NOT THAT SILLY. :|

Snowmen. Mine is always the biggest because damn it I WILL NOT BE BEATEN. There was one this year out on the field near my house that was built by some boys and it ended up 12ft tall. *A* WELL FOR PICNICS AND TO WATCH THE SEA AND THE BOATS. Of course I have! I've been to places like Corfu and the Canary Islands and I went to Florida once.

PFFF NO I BURRRRRRN Both of us to the post office then!

...weirddddddd

[identity profile] polskifeniks.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
NO, JUST ANNOYING. INCREDIBLY SO.

I'd make sandcastles, huge forts and giant holes. Huuuuge ones, just cuz I could. Then I'd sit in em and watch the world. But holy hell that is hugeeeeee. ...NO SWIMMING? WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO TO A PARK WITH A RIVER OR SOMETHING. Oh, good.

MWAHAHAHAHA TANTANTANNNN ...Nu. You. B|
