The latest storyline's a bit confusing though. Wtf. Well the "persecuted christians" thing was an actual historical fact in Japan, since Christianity taught that everyone would be judged for their deeds, while in Japanese culture at the time everyone was judged by the status they attained in life. The Lords of the land were not pleased with the concept of potentially burning in hell with common peasants.
