Hahaha orz
"Gee Pidge," say my flist. "I wonder what you could have got up to today? I bet you spent your evening being very productive."
"Er." I said, shifting uncomfortably in my seat. "Well, I have been doing something with my time."
"Oh good! Is it one of the fics you're halfway through?" the flist asks curiously. From somewhere in the back, a voice pipes up "Finish The Centre of the World!" and another cries "Or even Pax Australia!" and a smaller voice whispers to a friend "Will she ever actually write any more Vincere?"
I shuffle around on my hard-drive for a moment, and start uploading on photobucket. "Just a moment!"
"Ah," the flisters nod at each other. "She's done some drawings. They're nowhere near as good as her fics, but at least sometimes they're cute."
"It's not a picture, really." I wonder aloud, stroking my imaginary beard in an attempt to look wise and mysterious. It fails. "It's actually an animation."
"Oh!" cries a particularly attentive flister. "You mean that one project you said you were working on months ago and then we never heard any more about?"
"Erm." I say. "What?"
The anon flister deflates. "Never mind."
"So what did you make? Tell us already!" demand the rest of the flist. I raise my hands defensively.
"Alright, but I warn you, it's kind of bad."
"Hah." the flist scoff. "British humility again, huh? Bet it's not that bad."
"No, really, it is."
"Then show us, show us your fail!"
I sigh. "Alright, you asked for it."
"..." my flist stare at the animation.
"orz" I say, on my knees in shame. "It... it was a very first attempt at using GIMP. I had to switch back and forth between OS to do it. It's meant to be Afghanistan... happy."
My flist give me a collective unimpressed look.
And I fail forever.
