Date: 2010-09-24 10:38 pm (UTC)I can sort of understand the critique, to be honest. Well, actually I'm pretty sure I told you ages ago that I did think that the whole WW3 thing made no sense to me. x) But well, I kept reading because it was too much fun to stop and I can take a little non sequitur in exchange for Epic Shit. Of course it's ridiculously huge project for one person to tackle, I mean, you'd have to know SO MUCH about world politics that it's just mind-blowing... unless you're already a huge history/social science nerd or something, idk.
(Btw, wow, FT must be going places if it has had a F!S made of it! Obvious sign that you're becoming a Big Name Fan. xD)

Date: 2010-09-24 10:57 pm (UTC)hfgdu idk, I stopped reading Family Ties even before you de-anoned, it never gelled with me past the first few chapters so I've not followed it beyond what can be gleaned from the summaries when you post updates.
In the end though, it's a fanfic and it's your hobby so nothing to get too worked up about.

Date: 2010-09-25 02:41 am (UTC)Haha, you were reading it back then? I never knew.
It surprised me when I first saw it, but yeah, trying not to get too worked up over it.

Date: 2010-09-25 02:52 am (UTC)And after reading the comments at F!S and finding out about Canada I just sort of read backwards (because that makes sense) through Family Ties and whatever problems the fic has aside... yeftuse ;A; you do know how to pull on the old heart strings.
Always best to take what positive you can from these things :3 /hugs

Date: 2010-09-25 12:48 am (UTC)I haven't read FT yet
it's on my list!so I...don't have much else to say :D;; but I've always admired that you keep at it and can write so damn much every day without like...dying. It's a hobby that you seem passionate about, so I think it's all good.no subject

Date: 2010-09-25 01:27 am (UTC)I think we discussed one of the problems I had with it, but I still love the story because it's frigging insane. So I tend to let things slide.
Can't say I'm one of those that automatically jump on someone who disagrees anymore, but can definitely see why they'd feel the need to not attach their name to the confession. Not everyone would respond with as a level head as you did. :)

Date: 2010-09-25 02:45 am (UTC)I can understand anon's hesitance. I used to be the type to jump to my fave authors/series' defense at the drop of a hat. But everyone is entitled to an opinion, it's a free internet. I just hope anon doesn't get shouted down for whatever reason.

Date: 2010-09-25 01:45 am (UTC)Personally I suspend my disbelief because some moments are JUST SO EPIC AAAH but wow, I hadn't thought it was so widely read you were getting recs left and right. That's awesome. XD
Though what I loved the best was that anon wasn't expecting you to reply haha, so ninjaAnd I've already told you this, but I admire your dedication to get so many chapters out in any given week. God knows it takes me forever just to finish ONE fic. ;u;
I'm going to spoil the moment now by saying I'd be honoured to collab with you in a fic, any fic, someday. If you'll have me. /moronAlso. Where would I be without the Scotland/France derebawww and TEAM MIDDLE EAST. Honestly. I ask you.

Date: 2010-09-25 02:50 am (UTC)I suspend my own disbelief sometimes as well orz;; the Rule of Cool applies heavily. Ffff the idea people are reccing me just makes me blush like aksjldkgh p-please don't make me out to be some writing goddess like J.K.Rowling or something like that.
I stalk everywhere, little do people know. I HAVE CAMERAS.It's not so much dedication as it is compultion >>;; I can't help it, I want to advance the story. Maybe it's trauma from so many of my fave mangas going on hiatus for so long /stares sideways at DGM and HxH
sjlaskhglfdhkl Cande I would be so happy to collab with you I love your writing style ;u; Maybe we can do that EngPort+Bermuda baby thing we were dere-ing over on AIM. Or something. ANYTHING.BABY PENGUINS AND BURN BABY BURN /shotshotshotforever

Date: 2010-09-25 03:42 pm (UTC)The Rule of Cool is awesome okay. There are too many moments for me to name individually but ;sldkff SO MUCH AWESOME. ;; Nothing like recs to make you feel you're actually doing SOMETHING right with this fic business, I always say. You deserve it. XDDD
I am terrified now, and rightly so. /looks over shoulderWell...there's advancing the story for the sake of it, and chapters that actually flow well together and MAKE SENSE. ;sldkf don't talk to me about DGM. It crushed all my dreams and went to hell. See that's an example of the former, continuing a story for the sake of it, even if the plot has gone to hell. /glares at DGM B|
b-bawww really, I think we could write a FANTASTIC collab. Oh god baby fic, oh god yessss. WANT. So much want. In fact I shall PM you with some of my thoughts because I love it that much. ;n;THERE IS SO MUCH HERE THAT OUGHT TO BE IMMORTALIZED IN ICONS. ......sob Scotland orz;;;

Date: 2010-09-25 01:46 am (UTC)I still love Vincere much more than FT.
Anyway, take this the best way you can, as a critique. And Somehow my languages are a little mixed up right now, so I just really really hope you're actually taking this fine and not actually pretending to be strong or something like that because that'd be kind of stupid and I'm probably babbling, seriously.
And so on.
no subject
Date: 2010-09-25 02:52 am (UTC)Nah, I'm alright with it. I appreciate crit since I already receive a lot of people telling me it's good, I need someone to tell me what's bad. Your languages are working fine. XD

Date: 2010-09-25 09:28 am (UTC)I can see where the anon is coming from (although I LOVE FT it's so fabulously insane and long), and you handled it so nicely.I can't help but admire that ohoho.
But at least the anon explained the reasons, although it did turn into a little wank thread, eh? >.>
Well, haters gonna hate, I guess, because nothing's perfect.
Still waiting for 'Yours'. That and 'Vincere' are probably my favourites but FT is just... a different kind of special.no subject
Date: 2010-09-25 09:30 am (UTC)FT also gave us Team Middle East without that we would be absolutely LOST /SHOT
