But yeah, I think I like this new Doctor. I definitely like this new side kick. She's goddamn Scottish! A random bloke shows up in her house and her decision, as a 6 year old, is to make him a fry-up!

The whole gun thing came up when the original trailer aired.

My excuse for it is he isn't shooting at a person, rather some kind of machine or similar and they just stuc it in there because it's an action shot XD

I laughed so hard when he told young!Amy to go fry something because she was Scottish. So Damn Hard.

The Doctor has had guns in the past. He had one in Season 4 and a couple of other times throughout the classic series.

I also had several other Hetalia moments throughout thinking about England's expression if Eleven had actually hit Big Ben. The floating London and during the whole Daleks in WWI/WWII

There are...places...out there on LJ that you can get it but I don't know the name of it (it changes regularly I believe). I've just been renting them from Netflix they have all of the available DVDs (which granted isn't everything that was available on VHS yet and BBC is still putting DVD out with the stuff that they weren't stupid enough to destroy back in the day... *grumbles* stupid BBC *grumbles*) and constantly add the new stuff. The DVDs are better the DLs anyway since you get the commentary which is a lot of fun.

LOL...it does seem like overkill but then...they ARE Daleks...
