Oh god, con was exhausting but fun. SO MUCH MONEY SPENT. And speaking of money, I had to cancel my card because it got stolen, but luckily there was a bank nearby with a phone where I could cancel him.

If I'm not making sense it may be because of the fact I am slightly drunk. See, we're watching Eurovision and taking sips every time UK gets 12 points. Or rather, every time they don't, because as it stands we have 5 points...

Madi and Neko are cheering for Germany, Nena's cheering for France, and I am the only patriot in the room.

It is so predictable, this voting though. Though I was kind of begging the TV to let Portugal or someone give us votes. Why no love for us, Europe? Oh wait it's because we've been enemies with EVERYONE forever.

*looks up on Youtube* Germany won? Yay Germany! Wasn't my favorite song of the bunch, though. I liked Georgia's, Belarus', and Iceland's better. I don't know who was in the finals...who all was in the finals?

I wish we had something like Eurovision here. We have American Idol... but it's not the same. I want competition with other countries. Can we please join Eurovision? Pretty please? Just change the name to Worldvision or something?

Also, I was watching the semi-finalists interview on the Eurovision youtube channel and when Israel and Georgia's singers were talking I totally started shipping those countries.

Israel's singer was hot, I must say.

We have something similar to American Idol, called the X Factor. Eurovision is different though, generally because you don't get to vote on who represents your country, it's the officials who do. Also it's called Eurovision after the TV station that invented it, so... idk about changing the name XD.

Also why would you even want to join it's just us Europeans having passive aggressive warfare anyway.

Sorry UK, last place is nasty, but I'm sure you'll do better next year.
But you won in another way, I counted how many nations out of the 25 that were in the finals sang in their own language.
Eight. Two of them were Ireland and the UK.
The others were: Spain, Serbia, Greece, France, Portugal and Israel.(at least I didn't count anyone else, might've missed someone)

It's depressive. I think that one of the goals of Eurovision is showing that you can make good songs in any country in Europe and in any language.
I hate it that most nations just go in there and sing in english instead!

Funny thing is, when we get last place we pretend we don't care, but if we place higher we are so totally pumped about it. >>

I wish more songs were sung in their native language too. There used to be a rule about having to sing in English, though, which must have sucked. But it's gone. Port's song was pretty, and I love Hebrew as a language. France always sings in French as a rule. :|

And yes, good job Germany, it's their first win ever.

And I went from loving Spain to hating it and swearing no Iberian Union would ever happen again, because they didn't give us 12 points. And then I loved it again, because Port's song really isn't that good.

I was spending the whole evening going "please don't let Belarus overtake us, please don't let Belarus- DAMNIT". orz I know our song was shit, but it's because our country pretends not to care and therefore no effort is put in. Though even when we did put effort in last year we still only placed 5th.

That was Eurovision history in the making XD He's some semi-famous spanish guy who's called Jimmy Jump. I think the name says it all :P
