On the one hand, I'm unsure if he's got a low enough voice range to handle him, though he did do Ikkaku pretty well on that front. On the other hand... Vic, mister "there is no gay in CLAMP" is playing Greece. Who slept with Japan. And is more often than not shipped with Japan.

Did Funimation do this on purpose?

HOWEVER, ARMSTRONG'S VOICE ACTOR IS PLAYING ROME. THIS IS AN AWESOME AND AMAZING THING. THE MANLY SPARKLES! THESE TECHNIQUES HAVE BEEN PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE ROMAN EMPIRE FOR GENERATIONS!

And the others I don't really recognize but watching the fights over Vic is great.

I mean, yeah, he's a decent voice actor but are we seriously going to be told at cons that Greece has no romantic feelings towards Japan whatsoever and that he just sees Japan as a "good friend"? I mean, seriously? This is the man who played Fay as straight and refused to believe the KuroFay shippers were serious because there was no evidence towards the pairing. Plus, he's just generally a stuck up jerk who thinks he's God's gift to English dubbed anime. And he's not even that fantastic a voice actor, he's good but he's hardly the best.

But Vic as Greece...? I mean god only knows I know/care squat about VAs but...idek that just doesn't seem to fit. I mean it's Greece. He's so apathetic and B| and orz for a good majority of the time.

And yet at the same time I know how everyone feels about the guy and all the drama there is with him, plus how he seems to be in EVERYTHING but what the hell, I'm over it, there's nothing that can be done anyway.

Vic is a little too... hyper to be Greece, I think. And I don't hate him, I just find him a bit arrogant and... well, a liar. :| Sweetie you never met CLAMP, they don't speak English, don't try to tell us that they told you there was no gay in Tsubasa Chronicles.

This is the most yaoi loaded series I've ever been in the fandom of. I don't understand why he wants to do this. Whatever, the lulz will be epic.

From what I know he's a very homophobic dick. Not just the 'Ohhohoh no Fay is not gay- loljks it's a CLAMP manga' shit, but my friend was actually at a con where he just stared at him and his girlfriend like they were freaks. (Because friend is genderqueer, physically female and does identify as gay not straight, does this make sense?)

Friend then organised for a whole lot of same sex couples to make out while he was doing a lil talk think. I have never adored friend more.

I THINK THAT'S JUST ABOUT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING TO HAPPEN TO THIS SERIES BEING DUBBED THUS FAR.

Hyper, yeah that's the word I was looking for. He does great on excitable characters like...well I've only seen him do Ed (FMA), Tamaki (Ouran) and Ikkaku (Bleach), so Greece seems a little odd. Yeah, I don't agree with him speaking on behalf of CLAMP, especially with how ambigious all their couples can be, gay or not, and I'm not really a fan either way; for the most part I just ignore him. I kind of don't listen to the VAs comments and opinions at all. >>;

I am entirely of the opinion that ignorance is bliss. I care nothing for VAs except for how they're making the character sound.

So I just ignore the guy and let him say what he wants because his opinions mean absolutely nothing to me. Granted staring at people in any sort of context is rude too, so.

I just don't think there's any point in fandom flipping tables over this. Though I am curious, Greece doesn't say all that much to begin with, even with his come-ons to Japan... I mean, I was skeptical when they made Vic play Tamaki from Ouran, which even for shoujo has a lot of gay, and well. That went okay.

Edit: Not that I don't find things like this hilarious because I do. >u>

A good point, and usually I would be the same, to a point where people can name VA's and my response will generally be '...who?' I'm the same with actors, :/

But it's more his utter homophobia that gets me irrate :/ Who is he to decide that same sex love is wrong. Love is love dammit.

I'd feel the same way about anyone who was like this to be honest. It's an issue I can get very vocal on and thus should shut up now or we'll have rants and yeah. Sigh.

Awww Ed and Al Elric's mother as Ukraine? Cute.

The one playing Hungary... she played Wrath in the first FMA anime, and Honey in Ouran. Those are the only roles I know her in. I think I saw a few seconds of a clip with Medusa from Soul Eater. Her voice was deeper in that one, more Hungaryesque.

XD Shou Tucker and Nina Tucker's voice actors as Austria and Chibitalia. That's awesome.

I don't pay much attention to dubbing voices since I usually watch the subs anyway. >.> But still. Vic. As Greece. I mean, Vic's roles are along the likes of Edward Elric and Fai D Flourite, and Greece just isn't part of that group. Italy is, but I don't think Vic as Italy would be something I'd appreciate much.

At least it's not Italy or England or France or anything. That would've been awkward, to say the least.

I didn't even like the TRC anime, but when I heard about the Vic 'FAI IS LIKE TOTES STRAIGHT MMKAY I ASKED CLAMP' thing I got pissed off at him. Because, you know. If Fai is straight, I'm a chicken. If CLAMP made a character that's not just a little bi/pansexual, I'm a frozen chicken. If CLAMP spoke English, I'm a frozen chicken about to be cooked for your dinner. :/

Also, he made up 'Kurger Burger'. What is that I don't even.
