More casting, hmm.
Jul. 9th, 2010 04:44 pmSo I didn't notice Germany's casting come out yesterday. Listening to his sample (.mp4 here for people who, like me, are shunned by FUNI for not being American), I'd say I like him.
"Someone please raise your hand in a way that is not mocking a former salute of my country."
I lol'd. Oh Germany. So long suffering. Bet England and co still do it to him when drunk, because England is a douche like that.
Today, however, we get Japan's voice actor cast. AND THERE IS SO MUCH ENGRISH I WAS LOLING FOREVER. (.mp4 here)
Christopher Bevins, huh? He's been around.
Is there anyone in this cast that has not done Baccano? XD

Date: 2010-07-10 06:23 pm (UTC)FUNi, why must you shun the rest of the world? Come to think of it this is like the situation with Americans and football and 'American football'

Date: 2010-07-10 09:14 pm (UTC)Though it's still not a fantastic German accent.Because they, like many other channels, can't handle our cool. Alfred is in denial and doesn't want to go through the trouble of re-educating his rednecks *shot*
You shall be rewarded in a moment. I was going to post it before work but couldn't finish fast enough and I hate posting unfinished work so yeah.no subject
Date: 2010-07-10 09:42 pm (UTC)Can't say I'm so impressed with Germany's... To keep up with the movement of his mouth, the speech is ridiculously fast so it looks like he's just gnashing his teeth free of toffee where the mouth movement up and down doesn't match the phonetics, and I think a stronger accent would've been nice. But yes, the salute comment was great! Japan's is pretty good...
But... Aarrgh... So many phrases which look fine written down in the English subs backed by Japanese audio just sound wierd being said out loud in English... Like I'm hearing a whole new side of what's being said... Gah.

Japan sounds good too, actually! Someone we'll have to get used to again, though, I suppose.
