Family Ties [Part 80]
Sep. 7th, 2010 11:58 pmTitle: Family Ties
Characters (in this chapter): Brazil, Mexico, America and Quebec
Rating: 15
Warnings: A lot of swearing but mostly in Spanish. That's Mexico for you.
Summary: Uh, I need to be banned from the kink meme or monsters like this happen? Essentially, Scotland leaves the UK, which gives Northern Ireland an excuse to up and out as well, which leaves England and Wales all alone. Oh yeah, and this somehow leads to World War Three.
The morning was misty when Brazil opened the door and crunched across the frosty gravel path to the taxi. The humming of the engine spat exhaust into the air, a plume of steam that became visible for moments in the early light of the sun between the clouds. The South American Nation blew on his hands and rubbed them together to warm them, before tossing his bag and his backpack in to the back of the car.
"Brazil!"
He looked up to see Mexico standing in the doorway of the base, still in her pajamas, hair undone. "You're leaving?" she asked, though she didn't sound very surprised.
"Sim, I'm leaving." he affirmed, closing the door of the car and leaning against the cold metal. "Are you going to stop me?"
"No." she said quickly, a frown appearing. "But I'll ask why."
Brazil's sigh misted before him. "Look, I like America. He's a nice enough guy. I usually don't have much of a problem with him." He shook his head. "But when he starts doing that kind of thing? Não bom. I draw the line. He's acting crazier than the 70s. At least back then he didn't have those... hate mobs for all Russians on his land. Deus, some of them aren't even Russian." He opened the passenger side door. "So I'm out. I'm done with this. I'll be withdrawing my troops and my support. I'm neutral now."
"He won't like it." Mexico warned, folding her arms with a worried set to her face. "What if he does something to you?"
Brazil shrugged. "I won't be scared in to obedience with threats so far off." He gave her a short, cheerful smile. "Adeusinho, México. And good luck."
"Thanks." She muttered, frowning still. "I'll need it."
The car rumbled off down the path, and Mexico watched it until the mist obscured her view, and turned on her heel to head inside. She proceeded upstairs, to her room, and lugged her suitcase out of the wardrobe as well. Brazil was right. They shouldn't put up with America's shit. Maybe he'd get the point if they all just walked out on him, refused to back him up and give him ammunition. Maybe he'd come off his ego trip, through some miracle of god.
She was so out of here.
"Say, where're you goin' María?"
Mexico froze in her packing, and set her jaw determinedly. "Home, Alfred."
"Well ain't that funny." mused her brother's voice, a shift in clothing like he was leaning against something accompanying it. "Because that's what Brazil said this morning too."
"Hilarious." she deadpanned, zipping up the suitcase and doing up the buckles in no particular haste. "I thought you'd want me out of your hair, since you're usually so insistent."
"Hey, we were just getting closer as a family!" America whined like a scolded puppy. "You can't just leave now! Too mean."
Mexico pulled her suitcase off the bed, propping it up on it's wheels and dragging it to the door. America blocked her way, much taller in stature than she was and folding his arms, still pouting like he was disappointed. Dios, he could be such a child. She stared up at him as he looked back at her through Texas. Thieving bastard. But she didn't dare snatch for them now. Not when he could feel the danger lurking just beneath the surface.
"You can't just leave." America repeated, sounding much more sure of the fact than before. "Nah, not after I just let Brazil walk away like that. People'll think that you're all leaving at once that that would suck." A bright smile appeared. "And! And you'd miss the awesomeness I'm about to achieve!" He placed his hands on his hips and grinned widely.
Mexico dreaded having to ask. "¿Que?"
The blonde bounced up and down on his toes in excitement. "I've almost won! I mean we almost won but I've almost won! Got the bad guys on the ropes and everything!"
"If by which you mean the innocent civilians, even the ones who escaped to your own country, who you're planning to kill, sí, you've got the bad guys on the ropes, América." Mexico snapped, and would have regretted it if everything hadn't started pouring out at once. "You're so focused on destroying Russia that you haven't stopped to think, once again, that not all of his people are trained soldiers planning to destroy the free world or whatever mierda you've come up with this time. The same for Ukraine! Everyone else is so busy fighting their own battles that they haven't stopped to tell you to shut the hell up and calm down! No! The second Canada died, you lost that little voice that told you to stop being a massive asshole to some of those poor people!"
By the end, she was breathing heavily, and America looked mildly surprised. A long moment passed where the two siblings just stared at each other, before Mexico pushed passed the taller blonde and made for the door. She didn't get far before a heavy hand landed on her shoulder and massive strength threw her into the wall, pinning her there by the shoulders. America loomed, and she suddenly felt very small.
"So that's how it is, huh?" the other Nation's voice was low. "I should have known you'd turn traitor on me, Mex. You're the type to. I should never have let you take food in to Russia, he's got you all sympathetic to the cause."
Mexico bristled. "Madre de Dios, are you even listening?!"
"Yeah, I'm listening, and all I'm hearing is 'blah blah blah Spanish blah blah Russia's a good guy blah blah stop it America blah'." He even made a talking puppet with one of his hands, proving that Mexico couldn't struggle away even if he only had one hand on her shoulder. Damn, he was heavy. "Well, it's not like I really need you any more, or Brazil. Russia's allies are dropping like flies and too much manpower costs money." he leaned his head back and looked to the sky, sighing. "But you know, I can't let you go joining him and all. That would kind of fuck me about too much, since we share a border and all. Never did finish building that nice big fence." He mused on this for a moment, before looking back down at where his sister was glaring at him. "Either way, you're not just gonna walk out on me, got it?"
"Let me see, what was that word." Mexico growled. "Oh yeah, 'fuck you'."
"Rather not, sis, you might have diseases from Russki." America smiled a little at his own, slightly perverse joke, before hefting his sister over one shoulder and carrying her down the hall, ignoring how she kicked and screamed obscenities. "Since you like him so much, I'll put you in the cell next door, how 'bout that?"
"¡Chinga tu madre, imbecil!"
"Me no speakie espanyol!" America half-laughed back. "But I guess that means 'yes please'!"
---
In the other room, Quebec placed his head on the desk, put his fingers in his ears, and tried to will the world to end.

Thank god for that otherwise America would have his hands all over the south too. ;; Be afraid of your Spanish neighbours Brazil. That or he returns home mystified to find Argentina has parked his arse on Falklands in the confusion and is very smug about it haha.
Oh god America what are you doing, what are you STOP IT. CRAZY PERSON. SOMEBODY STOP HIM. Quebec don't will the world to end, that's a very bad idea. You have to stop him. BE A HERO. ;; Though...lol for some reason the idea of Mexico and Russia sharing cells next to each other amuses me.

I've never heard "funda" in my life, maybe is slang from the south?
I would say that America's gone crazy, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter at this point. (writing this is SO weird, since América is my RL name).
You know, I love Québec, but I feel kinda bad for him, so young for a country and with so much shit already.

Date: 2010-09-08 08:23 pm (UTC)Man, I wish America had a mother so she could pimp-slap the crazy out of him and tell him off for being an ungrateful douchetard and he'd LISTEN to her. I'd say England, but I have a feeling that America has selective hearing when he's around. Maybe Ireland? The Wrath of the Irish Mammy is terrifying no I don't know from experience what are you talking about orz.
On a seperate note, I love how Brazil had enough foresight to get the hell out of there. Iberian trolldar indeed...:P
