Ahahaha....
Feb. 1st, 2011 12:33 amSo I was having a conversation with some folks and found that estimations of where Wales was on a map were wildly inaccurate. Now far be it from me to accuse folks of not knowing their geography; I couldn't find Bosnia on a map if you paid me. Still, the only thing that came to mind was this:

Poor Wales.

Poor Wales.

Date: 2011-02-01 02:00 am (UTC)orz;; and I can't label more than 8 states on a map of America.

Date: 2011-02-01 02:35 am (UTC)I don't think most Americans could pick out 8 states on a map, once you cut off the pointy bits. Even the ones who were forced to memorize them in school.

Date: 2011-02-01 02:08 am (UTC)Ah, nobody went in the library at my school, so it was a pretty safe place to be for avoiding people.
excuse the rp account ma'am
Date: 2011-02-01 02:10 am (UTC)Our librarian lady figured herself as some kind of queen bee of social activity among the school's cool kids. It was kinda sad really. Mainly creepy, though.
Only if you excuse mine in return.
Date: 2011-02-01 02:13 am (UTC)Yeah that's pretty creepy. Scratch that it's really creepy. I was in the library so often when I was younger the librarian would just leave. I scanned the books for her. I was the librarian. 8|
deal
Date: 2011-02-01 02:19 am (UTC)That's cute, our Librarian was always there like some kind of robot. She might have been a robot if she didn't get preggers that one time.

Date: 2011-02-01 01:09 pm (UTC)I have a never ending project to memorize all the countries of the world and their locations. xD; I just keep forgetting them after a while. I've found that it's easier when you actually know something about the damn places. I had so much trouble with Africa but now I kinda know something about it so... And I can divide it into parts which is good because North-Africa is totally different from South-Africa, for example and you can pick out the formerly French areas and the formerly British areas and currently Arabic areas and non-Arabic areas... It also helps to be a map-fanatic like me. orz *always needs to check where things are happening when she reads a book or the news or anything* Oh and Hetalia helps too. A lot. 8D
Btw, Pidge, you need to check out my comment on The King's Speech. You totally missed it or something.

Date: 2011-02-01 07:52 pm (UTC)But in all honesty I was an idiot as a child and thought that Portugal was an Island somewhere East of England not West and... a lot of Geography fails and then I actually TOOK Geography as a lesson... so yeah... *sweatdrop*
But I have to say the biggest Geography fail I've EVER heard was when someone mistook Denmark as being the Capital of IKEA...
