So I was having a conversation with some folks and found that estimations of where Wales was on a map were wildly inaccurate. Now far be it from me to accuse folks of not knowing their geography; I couldn't find Bosnia on a map if you paid me. Still, the only thing that came to mind was this:

I used to think Lithuania was an African country. Ditto Ukraine.

Lithuania does have the "African" colour scheme in the flag, so you have an excuse. Uh. Ukraine, though . . . that's just weird. XD

I don't think most Americans could pick out 8 states on a map, once you cut off the pointy bits. Even the ones who were forced to memorize them in school.

I think I might be able to name all of the US East and West coast states.... It's all of the central states that get me confused. :/ (Well, except Texas, Tennessee and Louisiana because they have interesting shapes! XD)
